Happy Wednesday friends,
A little late today, sucker-punch spring got to me. Yeah that’s what we are calling it :) One day it's mild and full of promise. The next it's this. One minute you're hoping patios will open up and the next you're digging out your vitamin C and putting soup on the stove. That's exactly what happened here. The cold got to me before the newsletter did. The soup is good, and this issue might just make your pet famous. Enjoy the rhythm.
made with love by,
your neighbourly goose

READY FOR DINNER
As always, I try things, listen, and adjust. Last time a lot of you asked to bring your partner and be seated with other couples. We didn't have that option then, but because you asked, it's happening for round two. Couples can now sign up together and be matched with other couples. Make couple friends. Love it.
I can't wait to hear what you think after.
Thanks to everyone who has already reached out, you're the reason this keeps getting better.
Last call for March 26 Dinner Club signups. Grab your seat as an individual or a couple before March 24 at 6:15pm.

REACHING ROARS
Your Pet Could Be Waterloo Region's Cutest!
April is Pet Appreciation Month and I think we need to celebrate in style.
Got a dog who thinks they own the couch? A cat with a permanent judgy face? A rabbit, a bird, a gecko, a hamster with big energy? Share them so we can all talk about their cuteness.
Upload a photo, tell us their name, and share one thing that makes them unforgettable. We'll feature entries throughout April and voting opens in early April right here to crown the winner.
Submissions close April 4.

RAD & RAW
SIGHTING: House Finches are all around now
SKY:
Wed, Mar 18 at 5:21pm New Moon, which means the night sky will be inky black and perfect for stargazing all week. Look west just after sunset (around 7:30pm) to catch brilliant Venus shining bright low on the horizon. Then turn around and look for Jupiter, dominating the eastern sky.
Tue, Mar 25, the slender crescent Moon teams up with Jupiter in the evening sky; look east around 8:00pm. A pairing that's worth stepping outside for.

RIDDLE ME
Canada produces about 70% of the world's maple syrup. Which province produces the most?
Last week’s trivia: 70% got it right :)

ROAM & RAZZLE
FEATURED EVENTS
There is something quietly magical about watching maple syrup go from tree to table the old-fashioned way. The St. Jacobs Sugar Bush Tour takes you behind the scenes of a Mennonite family farm, from a short film about Old Order Mennonite life to a scenic bus ride out to the sugar bush where you will see the whole process up close, boiling, packing, and of course sampling. It is one of those experiences that makes you appreciate the region a little more.
